Working principle:

The Zenith Stainless Solutions Hygienic Tank pressure and Vacuum relief valve is designed to protect tanks from excess atmospheric changes.

If the internal tank pressure increases beyond a set pressure, the valve will open automatically to the exhaust outside the tank, venting excess air into the atmosphere. The valve will return to the normally closed position.

If there is vacuum in the tank the piston inside the valve opens automatically and draws air into the tank. As a result the air inside the tank will equalise. The valve offers the advantage over other valves by way of its doubling acting operation.

Technical Information:

  • Diameters: Available from 1 1/2” – 2.5” OD.
  • Specification: US3A, Weld, RJT, DIN, SMS, ISO, IDF.
  • Materials: 304 Stainless Steel.
  • Valve Ends: Clamp, Weld, Thread, Male.
  • Opening Pressure: 0.089 Ib of vacuum.
  • Working Pressure: 2.9-45 psi. Set at 15 psi (1 Bar). Pre-set at factory.
  • Vacuum: Set at 0.15 PSI (0.15-0.75psi). Pre-set at factory.
  • Temperature: 14 ° F to + 250 ° F  (-10 C – +120 C)
  • Seal Material: Food grade EPDM, Viton. Surface Finish: ID/OD mirror polish. ID Ra <0.8 μm, OD Ra < 0.8/1.6 μm.
